Welcome Mary Turney-Champion Descendants

Mary Turney- Champion, was married to Booker Turney while in slavery. Booker Turney died while in slavery or soon after, and then she was married to Peter Champion on 11/2/1867. The children of Mary Turney-Champion are Milly Turney, Joseph Alfred Turney, Dennis Turney, William Turney, Abby Turney-Woods, Ellen Turney Thomas Turney-Champion(?) and Wallace Champion. We are happy to have found the descendents of Wallace Champion,Joseph Alfred brother. We would like to WELCOME the Champions to our family. Antoine, Allan (descendant of Wallace) and myself (LaNetra) are trying to put together a Mary Turney-Champion Reunion, so we can all meet. We are also trying to locate the other descendants of the brothers and sisters so they can also unite with the family.
